Poetic Hyperbole
A blue sky glints like a sapphire
embedded with gold filigree
and poetic hyperbole.
A teal twilight morphs into dusk
inking cobalt silhouettes black,
and welcoming owls and bats back.
Shadows slip between dark creases,
sculpting shapes that blend with the night
at the fringes of dark and light.
And a crimson sun bleeds scarlet,
sinking into a sea of fire
as its magenta rays expire.
Darkness descends like a black cloak
encrusted with glittering stars,
while Venus lights the way for Mars.
And a full moon shines high above
illuminating half the Earth,
till dawn announces the sun's rebirth.
