The Tempest

The sea was a tempest of strong gale winds, Waves beat upon the shore crashing the rocks; And it was hours before the storm had thinned, That the battered up boat drifted into the dock. Falling to pieces, beat up, coming apart, The sad loss of life broke my heart. _____________________________ May 17, 2015 Poetry/Rhyme/The Tempest Copyright Protected, ID 05-674-942-17 All Rights Reserved, 2015, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Rhyme Time sponsor, Pendleton Arkwright, Judged 2015 Third Place

The imagery fills our minds with an explosive regalia of nature literally blowing Her top. Your descriptive words combined with the energetic flow of this poem added feeling to the poem as the reader visualized the whole event through your words.. Emile. #7
