The Sharing of Our Heart

Many treasures have I stored in Heaven above,
Not treasures of gold, but ones that I have loved.
They are treasures that no earthly wealth can ever replace,
How I long for the day that we can all meet again and joyfully embrace.

These are gifts from my God, called family and friends,
That shared their love, their soul, to the very end.
Each one that left, left with a part of me,
But left with me, many precious and dear memories.

It is so important for us to extend ourselves in this world today,
To touch a heart, in kindness and love, the Jesus way.
Be a pillar of strength for someone who may be weaker than you,
Be a beacon of God’s light in all that you do.

You be that treasure for someone who is lost and alone,
Sharing your self with others is the greatest gift you will ever have known.
You can change someone’s heart and even change their life,
And lead them to happiness so much better than sorrow and strife.

Plant that seed of love, and watch it blossom and grow,
Then teach them to do the same and watch as their lives begin to glow.
These seeds have a way of multiplying, that’s the part I guess that is so grand.
To think that, that one seed you planted now has spread all across God’s land.
