Looking Within

The eyes I've sought, beneath a falling star Have reached out to me as if to dare And ask my spirit to travel as far To take from life every breath it can share To stand upon farthest hills in sunrise Face tomorrows with warm and gentle ways Replace tears from my yesterday's demise Beneath the bending boughs of passing days To know the dark I found, quietly wept And left a barren space, where life's seeds fall To trace the silent tears, that the soul kept And hear quiet echoes from my heart call Can I hold the knowledge I've learned and know? Leave the empty pain, where nothing can grow

Knowledge is always the key. This a deep and very fine sonnet. "To know the eyes I found, quietly wept From the barren space, where seeds of life fall To see a tear silent, that the soul kept And hear the soft echo of a child call" Truly Brilliant!!!
