The Power of His Blood
Cleanses my soul;
Takes away all my sin;
Restores, makes me fully whole.
For ‘tis the blood that covers
My sin-marred life;
Gives me hope of salvation;
Overcomes all strife.
The Power of His Blood
Displays the Father's love.
Can save lost souls;
For redemption up above.
This is the greatest power
That in the universe exists;
The only hope for this world,
Where sin still persists.
The Power of His Blood;
From the gutter to the throne;
Changes each heart;
Prepares us for a crown.
We all need a Savior
To carry us through;
Each heartache and trial;
Become totally renewed.
The Power of His Blood
Is all that we need
To raise us up for heaven,
Like a plant from a seed.
By His power we grow momentarily;
More like Him each day,
As long as we’re willing;
Read our Bible and pray.
