The page is your canvas to fill
any color you may desire,
no one should deprive you of that
and if you let critics stop you,
you're making a grievous mistake.
The power and excitement of
the written word inflames your soul
when it's your thoughts embroidering
the page, and the poet in you
desperately wants to be heard.
