The Makeover-Shots

The Makeover- Shots You take one shot And I miss you I know you're gone But I still wanna kiss you You've made yourself a monster Both you and me you scar Your eyes are dimly lit But behind shines who you are Who you used to be The part that misses me (Pre Edit: January 17, 2015) One shot. One decision. Never to be seen again. Late night kisses And sweet nothings Long gone To yellowed eyes And an emptied heart. Your monster in the making Slowly made its way To the surface And only in your dimly-lit Blood-shot eyes Is a near gone image Of who used to lie behind The addiction's pry. The part that still loved Me. (Edited: March 10, 2015)

Thank you Mr. Viv! Though I thankfully haven't experienced much trauma in my life, I enjoy authoring poems from the POV of people at their lowest points, speaking for those without a voice. Thank you for being my first reviewer, and doing so at one in the morning. And the quirkier the people are here, the better, for I am known to be quite the oddball...
