The Love That Dare Not....

You did not know ,and still do not, How much I have always loved you. Yet we spent so much time together, Sharing so many sorrows and joys. Whenever you brushed against me in the gym, I always felt strangely stirred. Perhaps I should have known even then That my course would not be yours. You always played a straight bat And confided totally in me. In that we were soulmates, Though one secret I did hold back. I was always your willing listener, Your voice shooting shivers of ecstasy through me. But I found it too painful To let you know how I really felt. When you met Jenny,my world dissolved. How I had hoped you would reciprocate my love. But, to you ,we were just best friends and real good mates. My true feelings you do not even now suspect.
