The Harlots of Spring

The harlot maples crimson tipped nails tap, drum, strum, and plunk; at Aprils blasted blue sky. Raking a wind born trail across skeletal palms and forearmed branches, in a come-hither dance; reawakening the cerulean stratus above the dense sugar maple forest. Sap taps a tune into tin buckets; and, so, Spring is sprung.

And yes, they do like to strut their stuff! But sweetness oozes, and we will succumb to their wiles! :)

Well done, Debbie, nice to share this win with such a talented poet. And, on this Idea of March in a sunshine filled, warm gentle day, it is nice to read such a spring inspired song.

Thank you for commenting on my poem as it has led me to yours, just read through a whole batch of them. Really nice to be reading something different on here rather than the same old that had been on this site for a while. Commenting on this one in particular as I think its one of my favs. Naomi ps any critique you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Rhythm, rhythm, rhythm ... and it all flow so easily through the light forest of images that speak of a cerebral beauty born to seduce the soul and the eye. Awesome investigation of spring ... almost a Constable or a Titan. Love and peace.
