The Fourth of July - 2011

On this 238th Fourth of July As we watch our precious flag go by To commemorate that awesome decree That from this day forward we would be free My heart fills with pride and gratitude For the many heroes with the fortitude To leave their homes and families behind Giving their lives to save mankind Many wars have been fought since that fateful day Many lives lost keeping the enemy at bay But through them all our hearts filled with pride And love for our country with God on our side But all is not well in our country today We’ve allowed a small group to push God away This nation was founded invoking his name Now we only have ourselves to blame There is much unrest and dissension within Prayer in public places and schools... now a sin Our house is divided, our honor besmirched Honor to God is confined to a church This nation once conceived in pride Is consumed with bitter politics inside Pledging allegiance... not required in schools We’ve allowed this to happen…we are such fools We must be UNITED for our country to grow To be the great nation we all used to know Too many hero’s have laid down their lives It’s our duty to see that this country thrives Our enemy’s vow to conquer the west But we’ll win with God’s help, for his way is best On this great holiday…the Fourth of July Say a silent prayer as our Flag goes by! Beauitful!!! It brought A tears to my eyes. Is it really that hard to have God in our lives?

Thank you Dan...it breaks my heart to see what's happening in this country both religiously and politically. I'm glad I was born in an era when patriotism was not a dirty word, and GOD's word received the respect that it deserved. We reap what we sow I'm afraid! Bea
