The Firmament of My Heaven-Ii-W
The work, the words
The worries, the wits
They are lazy today
They have been sleeping too long
In my body
In the broad way of my heart.
I think about you in the heavy traffic
I lay bare my desire
I search the bodies of
A vowel, a consonant, a simile
An oxymoron, a metaphor
To find a two-syllable title
I breathe in their mouths
With the thoughts I have in mind
I whisper into their ears
To hear the echoes of the words
To compose and feel the sound effect
With overflowing ideas in head
I touch the curved lips
To get you mold
Deep in the vault of your mouth
I feel you and hear you.
They’re awake, but lethargic
Spreading the page incoherently
They mean to frustrate me
As they are feeling mean
Dancing in different shapes
Splattered on my page.
