The Couple and I

Their blessed hands meet,
And jewels are displayed
No one witnesses their shine;
It is between the two
Acceptance of each other,
They walk side by side
Avoiding the skylines of passerby
Not caring about the outside world

No one really seems to notice
But I do

I saw the couple before
I have always wondered how it feels
To be loved...

I can get so sad
But one thing makes me glad—
The world pays no notice of pathetic me
But at the same time no one seems to notice these two jewels

Or maybe someone is looking from a distance
Watching me
Thinking the same exact thing!

Doubtful, but I can dream

Parts of this are definitely sad in a, 'to the core' kind of way. I hope you don't feel this way often because you are truly special, and there is more to you than a person could see in a lifetime....and you never know who is watching....By the way, I love your new furniture! It looks great from the window!.....hehe;)....joking...I liked your old furniture better....HA! Ok, did I make you smile?

Wow, Laura... how I can relate! I always view other people as being of more a role model than I, and it surprises me when I find other people looking at ME as the ideal person. Very in-depth and thought provoking... I like how you give us all sides to the scene.

There is sadness here. "I have always wondered how it feels to be loved.." An interesting perspective since relationships have so many threads. There is always a lot of green grass to envy.
