The Christmas Season - Away From the Din

The Christmas Season (Away From the Din) The punctuation of Winter’s drear, Most people turn to wishing cheer, Tradition, plays, and carols ring, Alone behind doors, alone some sing. Memories so intensified, Piling one on one near deified, If there is a sad memory left in the mind, It is side by side with a brand new kind. Hill and dale, rising and falling, side to side, The mind between symbols on a crescendo ride, Where is that peace we so long to know, Standing under the mistletoe. In the quiet, under stars, away from the din, Cold and silent, I will let our Savior in, His purity, his love, no cross for the moment, He will infuse me if I, too, be still and silent.
