The Bottle, the Bible, and the Broken Heart

If you had to choose a way, to make it through the worst of days, would you pick up the bottle or turn to your faith? It all depends on whats ailing you, life or death or just the blues, to each his own relief for the pain he goes through. It's going to take time to get over you. You can pick up the bottle, you can pick up the Bible, you can pick up where you last left off. You can pick up a gun, even pick up and run, but I bet you, you'll still fall apart. Only time can heal a broken heart. I've down a bottle every drop. I hit my knees and I prayed to God. But nothing seem to mend these broken parts. And I was lucky to love again, but she saw through me paper thin. and she often wondered when the hurting would stop. but only time can heal a mourning heart. You can pick up the bottle, you can pick up the Bible, you can pick up where you last left off. You can pick up a gun, even pick up and run, but I bet you, you'll still fall apart. 'cause only time can heal a broken heart.

Another intense, creative and dynamic write. Read the 1st 2 lines of the 2nd stanza carefully, I think something went amiss between your fingers and the keys. I am, once again, impressed and totally enmeshed in my reading ... CayCay (Speaking of John Lennon (me, earlier), I believe he would have liked your talent a lot)
