Why I Love Solitude
Solitude, takes me to the river of imagination
where, ideas ripple and words in rhythm float.
With patience, I ponder and pursue my thoughts,
some are vague, some plain and some with pain,
I add some emotions, dress them in words,
and the ornaments of rhyme decorate my thoughts.
So, when peace of mind pairs with my passion,
and when pen and paper collide, a poem is born,
Without solitude I am too normal but to reach
out to the poet in me, all I need is solitude.
It takes me away from the maddening crowd,
and I enjoy the magnificence of being alone.
