Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is almost here,
A time of year I hold so dear.
A time of gathering of family and friends,
A time of good food from which there seems to be no ends.
A time to devote to sharing our faith and being thankful for all our blessings,
A time for roasted turkey and lots of gravy and dressing.
A time for reflecting on all the good that inspires our life,
A time for making amends and burying those burdens and strife.
A time for telling your children what a blessing they are and the role that they’ve played,
A time for seeking out miracles and answers for the prayers that we’ve prayed.
A time for honestly thanking the Lord and admitting how we’ve all gone astray,
A time for helping those less fortunate and brightening their day.
A time too realize that we can bless others with kind words and a smile,
A time to let our hearts heal as we learn how forgiveness never goes out of style.
A time to thank God for this awesome country and to acknowledge that He is needed more
than before,
A time to pledge to take back those values and virtues from shore to shining shore.
May God bless your Thanksgiving and let His love guide your way,
So Happy Thanksgiving, and have a Blessed and Happy Day.
