Terrestrial Truth -

Do men immortal know whence went the crow, on it's jubilant journey to bestow the rod,the wreath, and mistletoe, for below, in the shadow of the pyramid I crossed the river of Life, my God as thy wife my fear as my strife, for I saw in the sun, that Life itself is pitiless perfection - J.A.B.

I'm here to visit your older writes. Like Andrea...I love your last line. Perfection is only seen in the heart, Justin. One CHOOSES to see things that way or not. I'm a hopeless idealists and that isn't an easy way to live. Take care....

Yes Eileen, the idealism of the heart can be so very heavy with tears of fatigue, and it flies with more daring and speed than the greatest eagle when It glimpses raw love in a mean world. Remain beautiful and perfect Eileen...J.A.B.

I agree and believe in your colorful conclusion more and more everyday. You wrap everything up with so little words. This is both philosophy and truth fused together as one. Sometimes we forget to be thankful for such a big thing -Life! It deserves to be capitalized. I like how you use this to enhance the word. Very effective in poetry. Gosh Justin, I have to say you've got to be my favorite poet so far. And not just for this site. Lovely, powerful words. Always, Laura

The test ..to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: if you're alive, it isn't. "I crossed the river of Life, my God as thy wife my fear as my strife" The wisdom... of a learned one

that is one GREAT line: Life as pitiless perfection. I really like that!! The title using the word Terrestrial is awesome too. I don't see that word bandied about very often!

Powerful imagery with metaphor happening here, Justin..."the rod, the wreath, and mistletoe". Symbols (oh I know you love them:)...God, death, love and salvation? A journey where one may find its true meaning. Best wishes! Mikki
