Lilac scents the evening's sultry air, its sweet fragrance wafting with every breeze. And an indigo sky of flawless blue offsets emerald leaves atop the trees. Sol sinks like a nugget of molten gold, slowly melting into a sea of fire. And ebony shadows sully the ground as twilight's lingering sunbeams expire. Hunter-green silhouettes morph into black as night's shifting shadows douse the last light. And the screech of an owl pierces the dark, disturbing the silence imposed by night. Luna rises at a leisurely pace, beautifying night with Her beaming face.

Love your imagery, "sapphire skies, teal silhouettes" "shadows absorb the light" just wonderful expressions, typically you!

Lovely and enjoyable, Emile - your poem holds it own pace, with leisurely delight for the reader's senses. Don't think you need a comma after lilac??? Again, most enjoyable ... CayCay
