Song of a Poet

Sitting here writing a 
poem 
I begin to believe that 
poetry probably won't improve 
   socialism or capitalism 
It's just a few 
words on paper 
Some say my poetry is great 
while others detest is 
  Well, I think that I 
will 
continue 
to create 
   new word configurations 
      damn the critics 
 Full speed ahead!
