Situation Haiku

the tsunami struck
with the entire world watching
the judgement of God

the radiation
that they always knew was there
silently rages

it's time for prayer
for the people over there
humble one's self

it's time for hero's
knowing they will not live
yet they bravely give

the sacrifice's
ordinary men will make
will save their nation

Yes, cheer up! The human race has always overcome this kind of situation, with God's help; and now, The Situation is also giving the solution...:) Excellent write, Sir! Haikus are so difficult, as well as senryu, clerihew and all those wonderful masterpices of "one great idea in the fewest words ever!" With all my admiration, Hanitra

This is a nice tribute to the poor people of Japan who not only had the water, then snow and then radiation to contend with. My heart breaks when I see the destruction and we have to salute the heroes who give selflessly in the clean up of this tsunami. God Bless Phyl

A great tribute to those ordinary/extraordinary people. They probably won't see themselves as heroes. They are loving and selfless. Wishing you the best, Situation! Mikki

An eye-opener. It's great to observe the world and then turn these observations into verse. Always, Farah
