Short-Lived Love

You think you’re the best Your mind is at rest You love with trust and zest Believing that deep down he feels the same. But now I’m afraid His love could abate It looks like it's too late Already in his dreams he calls her name. [I have to point out that this is not the usual tailed rhyme poem, it's my own personal layout.]

I loved your personal layout of the tail-rhyme, Paul. Very truthful and sad affair w/some relationships. Excellent write and expressed superbly. Love your work as always, my friend.

Thank you for the lovely feedback, Freddie. There is no place for doubt where true love exists, but blind love could spring a surprise!! Regards // paul

Very sad sentiment Paul, but lets hope this prediction is just a misperception. Maybe he's having a nightmare short lived. Smart way to rhyme afraid my friend. J.A.B.

Many women are with the wrong guy who loves another but still keeps them on the hook. A sad tale as old as time. Well expressed.
