Shhh.

shhh, dont wake her slumber. her tired body, bones that twist on a couch. to you it looks uncomfortable. to me, i know this is what she needs. to close her eyes, draped with wool blankets, the rain pattering a lullaby. her breathing shallow, but steading. her heart pumping life back into her veins. pumping harder than mine. i know why some hearts give up, when it gets too hard. so let her sleep. let her mind reorganize, theres time for it to bloom tomorrow.
