Secrets, Not Lies

Yesterday I was unstoppable and courageous, I was strong. But today was much different, something must have gone wrong. My routine is still the same, I'm predictable at best. Yet something about it made it harder than the rest. Could have been the breeze-the way it felt in my hair. It was a subconscious reminder that you no longer care. Why are you on my mind, anyway? Shouldn't this be in the past? While the memories, they fade, the pain always goes last. I'm stronger than this, I am, no one can me that I'm not. In this web of lies you weaved, for some reason, I'm still caught. I thought things were looking up, but something within me has died. Everything I've been feeling I keep secret, and I promise I never lied.
