Sea Gull's Brunch

A lone gull, white breasted pecked and pecked at flecks of snow on the ground - a curious delight this February day, but what could be found in nature's freshly poured flakes to sate the bird's appetite? She turned and soared away on wings of grey. By Andrea Dietrich/ Motif is Nature For "the Impress me with a small poem! (New / Old)" Poetry Contest of Giorgio A. V.

I like this... ah, I see... a win, too. Too often we poets want to pant big pictures, but the smaller, more intimate scenes can say so much. Liked the glimpse. Smiles from Cyndi

Beautiful, but it is so sad for the gull. I see him flying off with his head drooping.

White and grey, it pecked away at flakes that winter day. To it's dismay, there was no pay. That's when it flew away. Ok, that's enough of this rhyme. I just reminded myself of Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore. It just may. :) Peace. :)

Beautiful birds so synonymous with the Seashore. Just don't eat around them. Good luck.
