Roses and Their Thorns - a Collab
ROSES AND THEIR THORNS
Soft, oh! so soft
feather like scarlet petals
peeking glorious from the loft
tenderly unfolding in orbital.
Its fragile sublime beauty
mirrors life reality.
A slight touch
may inscribe
long-lasting mark.
Tuning
to a harmony divine
protecting herself
with thorns thine.
Each angle of bloom
reveals a piece of self
that homely embraces
hope and growth..
the rose...
It's dark all around me,
I long for the dawn of day
Catching glimpses above me,
lunar orb
Appeases my nightly sway
Soon I'll unfold,
and allow my beauty to say:
"Hold me gently, Hold me dear
Caress me slow, so slow...
as I will break or bleed
if tight, so so tight.."
Linger on my supple petals
let
my
scent
satiate you with delight....
yet,
careful
careful as down my stem
are sharp thorns
ready to put an emblem.
my beauty comes
gracefully with thorns
Creating mystery
and tragedy to my form.
