I can almost touch that flag fluttering away there, which reminds me, I'm off to England soon for a short while, I'd best scedadle, I don't need any more scrapes in those reinactments lol. I'll be gone before the 4th but I'll be thinking of y'all. Take care, Richard

Few of the folks I've come in contact with know anything about the 30s music - those wonderful old musicals - which makes me feel very old and, in a sad way, misunderstood. How does an old fart like me get up-do-date? Love, daver

Very patriotic poem. I can't help but imagine lines of soldiers marching beneath this gigantic banner in the sky, hearts swelling with desire to serve their country at any cost. So much here that is unwritten! Nice work!

Just right for adding a splash of vivid c0olor for the 4th. Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy sang in all the 30s musicals - Blossom Time, The Desert Song, May Time,Rose Marie, Bittersweet and on and on. Few of the young men and women know much about them, but they were loaded with some of the finest music ever written. Love, daver
