Rapunzel - Once Upon a Time
Once upon a time, in a high tower there lived a young child
Child played by herself and always smiled
Smiled like there was no tomorrow
Tomorrow came and she started to grow
Grow and saw a change though she didn’t quite know
Know that she was becoming a young lady with sorrow
Sorrow and tears looking out the window
Window wondering what was at the end of the rainbow
Rainbow end of a meadow stood a prince
Prince entranced by her ethereal voice
Voice he searched that was in a tower
Tower he couldn’t reach to get to her
Her guardian came for a visit and stands
Stands at the bottom of the tower and demands
Demands; Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair,
Hair so that I may climb the golden stair
Stair to climb, upon hearing these words fall
Fall to be repeated after the guardian left Rapunzel
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair,
Hair so that I may climb the golden stair
Stair of beautiful blond hair was let down for him to scale
Scale to get to the top of the tower if proper conditions prevail
Prevail to rescue the fair maiden
Maiden he wanted her hand in marriage and won
Won and married the pretty maiden
Maiden gave birth to twins, daughter and son
Lived in the prince kingdom, where they live happily ever after
Away from the tower
