Portrait - Young Girl, Seated, With Violin

PORTRAIT YOUNG GIRL, SEATED, WITH VIOLIN Scanning… Her dress commands the scene, Stifling the beige background drapes, Flowing, engulfing a plush, roseate sofa Can this have been a concert, Either before or later? Well? …What? Does she actually play the violin she holds on her knee? Or is it afterthought? Such a pretty young miss, Hair across her breast in one thick, long tail, Face picture-painted, simple, no passion Scanning… Hey! This is no artist! Her music lay rumpled, scattered on the floor If the Kruetzer Sonata, it has been badly played ………………………………………………….. *Beethoven’s brilliant, stormy Sonata for Piano and Violin

I didn't see the portrait of this 'young miss', Daver. However I did listen to "Kruetzer Sonata" on youtube.:) Vibrant, emotive; and a piece that would require subtle courtesy and a common ground between the violin and piano. Perhaps 'no passion' remained after the explosive outburst? This probably doesn't make sense.:) Keep well...Love you, Mikki

Oh, what a traumatic moment you have captured, Daver, the defeat of a young artist before the master. Very touching, enjoyed it.

Ok, I did find this, ?starlet?, and though the bravery seemed at her minimum, to be with the greatest interest in the wooden object betwix her digits, a puzzled look made interest of the art which you drew mine 'own' interest my poet friend ! Thanx for this trail ! Have a wonderful weekend Dave.....much love, james

You intrigued me so much as to go to youtube, and familiarize myself with this sonata again............. I love the poem, and the fact that you were so taken away not by the music, but by the beauty of this violinist! Charming poem!!
