Pity

There are men whom my pity strikes For loss of child or loss of wife Who are saddened by internal strife. Pity, just for this moment in their life. There are others for which I grieve Whose loss is also so very deep. There are children with no family found Abide in foster homes just passed around. Low the homeless out on the street My heart goes out to these I meet. Yet I always cry a tear, for the man Who turns his back on Gods generous hand. Then provokes His holy might To lose all hope for eternal life.
