Our Healing Stripes - Isaiah 53: 5
What a state we find ourselves
transgressions within us so abound
an answer must be found out
get a listening ear to right sound
Commit so many iniquities without number
fully casting us ultimately on mercies door
pleading for miraculous divine intervention
dearly wishing cries to heavenly soar
The answer for our cries did come
not in the way we could expect
for God’s chastisement He put on His son
casting His wrath on Christ for His elect
God’s peace we’ve now received freely
in this God’s son became our substitute
for in His stripes we have received
the Lord’s healing being truly absolute
(' But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.'
Isaiah ch.53 v. 5 (KJV))
