Opposite Sides

I am playing a game It's no longer the same One I can never win Unsure where to begin The basket is raised too high Somewhere up in the sky The rules ever changing Priorities rearranging My shoes nailed to the floor I can't jump any more Locked outside the door I live in the land of ridiculous Trying to measure up Kicked without benefit of a cup You are supposed to be my coach The one that I trust The person to help me adjust I no longer recognize the game You say I am to blame Instead of praise you heap on shame You say it's a young mans world Tell me to keep up with the times Now a nickel equals two dimes Show the people the shine It's your world not mine You call a dog a horse Expect me to believe you of course I'm left with no choice I must leave to gain a voice So I choose to walk away Really was there any other way Your game your rules I don't wish to play Yesterday seemed to make more sense Now we reside On opposite sides Of the same fence

Richard...I'm glad you are a principled man! If they don't see that, then to .......with them. Sorry...got me steamed. On to better things, my dear.

No worries Eileen, just processing my emotions. In the end they have done me a favor.

Very different coming from you! It reminded me of Timothy's Bridge flipped on it's head... lol. Some people (no matter how hard we try) just won't ever come to terms with you. The generation gap is just too big to be breached. I hope I'm on your side of the fence, my friend... :)

You are definately on my side my young friend. Regardless of generations what is right is still right. Human greed as a way of justifying itself and wrapping itself in pretty paper.
