One Life To Live Should Be Enough

One Life to Live (Should be Enough) For more than thirty years I watched my soap. I guess that makes me something of a dope, for I have had a lead role as the wife in a soap I call "The Opera of My Husband's Crazy Life." For Your Best Four-Line Light Verse Poetry Contest Sponsor: L Milton Hankins

Well,i wouldn't know about that.but this sounds humorous and a great rhyme.<: and I understand what you mean by 'not being religious but having the spirit of Christ on your side' And i have been really trying to write a si fi novel.but i refer to it as supernatural/romance.its based on my poem "Cyan Star" and another i wrote called "Her Life Story" but i didn't want to post that one up.i've been putting it into short stories first, to see how it turns out.And thank you really. -Always Lynette

You must know my wife. I had her read this, she laughed and said "every wife in the world must be in that soap." I would be insane to argue. Thank you for your wonderful comments on my poetry and it is really a shame your family takes little interest in your poetry...it really is great work. Mac

A short but elegant poem. A lesson to neglectful husband - bold and couragious. Thanks also for your beautiful comments on my poem Engraved Image. I am grateful. -Mohammad

It sure beats Carol Burnett's soap opera, that she called "As The Stomach Churned"...(or something like that!! :) )....delightful poem, Andrea! We all live a soap opera, I suppose...truth can be stranger than fiction!!! :) LOL!
