Once Upon a Dreamy Dream

Once upon a dreamy dream I had a wistful, faraway journey An experience unique Out of this world beautiful I found myself in a rugged, rocky And weathered landscape With tall, dense, dark, deep trees Of jade, emerald, sea green and olive An ancient, primal forest With many chasms, abysses and rifts Bird refrains drifting O, the ballads, choruses and solos The sound flowing, gliding and fading And then the echo of water Inviting and beckoning me to come And I meandered forth Soon I discovered myself standing in awe Inside a breathtaking waterfall Sparkling, shimmering about my weariness Iridescent in the moonlight The cascading water cleansing my soul As I dreamt my dreamy dream _______________________ April 5, 2013 Poetry/Verse/Once Upon A Dreamy Dream Copyright Protected, ID 04- 468-930-05 All Rights Reserved, 2013, Constance La France

What an enchanting gem you have written here, my friend...Was this what they call a 'vivid dream?'...Mine are few and far between but when they occur, I try to write about them...Constance, your poetry has such great style and grace...I am in awe - Tim

gorgeous writing, constance. So busy these days, I don't get to see your work unless I just happen upon it. Take today, for example, I saw you commenting to Phyllis and that led me to see this new post of yours.

Beautiful poem and this one is a gem. In Regina we still have 5 feet of snow and had a storm again this morning. Beginning to feel like we will never get spring this year. Been one long winter for us here in Canada. love phyl
