Closer to you-2
I'm on bended knee
please hear my plea
I want to be closer
to you, for all eternity.
I've done my very best
now I must go and rest
I've fought the fine fight
and passed all the tests
My time draws ever near
I see your face ever so clear
In you I have trusted
I know my name is encrusted
indelibly,
in your infinite memory
I'll wait patiently
To see you more clearly
for I love you dearly!
Holy fire is burning,
my heart is yearning
I've done all that I could do
I have a faith that is true
And so...now I wait,
gratefully, hoping to be...
closer to you.
