Oktoberfest

Froth spilling from large mugs brimming with chilled Bavarian beer. Spiced delicacies tempt. The aroma of grilled meat pervades the night as senses reel. Waitresses in traditional dress serve folks to the sound of music and song. ------------------------------------------------ 23rd September, 2015 Contest: For Love of October Sponsor: Andrea Dietrich Placed 5th

Thank you for reading and commenting, Dave. I found Bavaria to be truly beautiful, with its lakes, medieval towns and castles. A place where inspiration can run wild! ~ All the best. // paul

:) Lovely poem, my dear. We vegetarians might not be too thrilled with the smell of grilled meat, but lovely all the same. Hugs, dear. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Eileen! My son can't stand meat, nor the smell of it being cooked! I love veg & fish mostly, also pasta and rice, though I do also have some meat once in a while. As I told Nette, I have both meat and drink in moderation! hugs // paul

Glad you like it, Barbara. Love a cold beer when it's very hot, but otherwise much prefer a glass of red wine:) All the best. // paul
