Oh, If Only
Wanting and needing
Longing and lingering
Just to see your face
Your lips on mine to taste
Oh, if only you were better...
Your touch is so unsure
That heart and soul so pure
Wishing you were more like me
Some swagger for me to see
Oh, if only you were taught
better...
Burning so with desire
What's inside me like a fire
Knowing you have feelings too
But your lovers have been too
few
Oh, if only you were a lot
better...
So sorry, don't mean to be rude
Maybe you think I'm a bit lewd
But a writers passion can burn
so bright
We need a kindred spirit to turn
on that light
Oh, if only you were so much
better...
You reach for me with
uncertainty
This kind of thing does nothing
for me
You wonder why I pull away
Your inexperience I'd have to
say
Oh, if only you were something
better...
You and I just don't fit
I blow out the candle that I lit
My muse you cannot be
No confidence for me to see
Oh, if only you knew pleasure
better...
Maybe it is your age
I can't even fill a page
I'm not the one to teach you
love
This patience I'm not made of
Oh, if only...
