Golden moon in bloom
Gilded beams dance on water
Gleaming tide rising.
Rolling waves of cobalt cascade ashore,
subservient to time and nothing more.
And the boom of crashing breakers punctuate
the deafening silence.
Cerulean curls color the reef,
in gradient shades of ebony.
For the night steals last light like a thief
acting purely out of jealousy,
darkness, its eternal destiny.
