O Africa, Please Stand Still
O Africa, when will you stand still
My fingers are not camera enough
To catch your undulating will
My seascape while the waves were rough
Immobilized, my canvas fill
Me with disgust, I hate dead things
But paint the living without its life
O Africa, please stand still.
