No More Losers

Primping, grooming, looking good
Like you knew you always should
Without hurtful burns and bruises
You received from all the losers
With forceful hands and anger issues
All your tears flowed into tissues
Until you heard a caring voice
Saying that you have a choice
To be happy and get free
From all the hurt and misery
Every day that had occurred
And the heartbreak that you endured
Would go away with just one touch
Never leaving you in such
A dark and torturous place
Smiles will light up your face
If you just give me a chance
To prove how precious a romance
Can make a difference from before
Your heart will always be secure
My hands will only be
Used for holding you closely
Surrounding you with so much hope
And whenever you can't cope
With dark memories of the past
I'll be there quick as a flash
You'll be cared for and adored
My only mission's to assure
The daily black and blue you wear
Are the ribbons in your hair
Matching the red in your skirt
Not from burns that made you hurt
Darling look into my heart
So you can make a brand new start

I completely agree with Tom. I think we've all endured our fair share of "losers" (at least I know I have lol). Another great poem you've penned, Robin <3
