No, They Don'T Care

Not like it matters Who would care anyway? Family, friends, teachers No, to at all They who only care for them There isn’t enough concern left Not for them to care About what is to happen to me They who stick up their long noses They who judge, lie, and deceive No, they wouldn’t care Not for one sad soul Who cries for the world Who tries for the world Who the world leaves out A lonely soul to forever anger and sadden No, they don’t notice Not to notice my marshmallow eyes A sad smile permanently painted on my face They who see a happy girl No, they don’t ask They don’t ask about my past Or they know sadness lies behind And dare not breach it No, their not jealous Why would they? Jealous of having no talent? Jealous of a darkness that clouds my head? Jealous of crying in the night? No, they wouldn’t care Wouldn’t care for me So who should care for them? No, not me I who can try I who can see a new way I who can fail No, no one would care If I slept and never woke up If the hazy dawn slipped out of view If I slept dreamless A sad portrait of a lonely girl Who the world forgot
