Shallow is the pond,
where willow fronds bend down
to soothe my furrowed brow.
Let's sit along the bank,
and thank our lucky stars.
For we have found a place,
a space to call our own.
Let us cool our toes and all our cares
embrace the day and think.
Our woes we'll leave behind,
and lean against the trees,
to drink the summer's breeze,
and find a peace of mind.
