Mmmmm Mmmm Mmmm Yummy!/Ode To a Tomato

Just chewing a FRESH tomato from off my potted plant babied it all winter long mmmmmm tastey in a trance sucking my teeth smacking my lips getting every DE LI CI OUS morsel the mayonnaise has graced the space between the bready foursome! Just chewing a RIPE tomato grew all by myself lickin’ all the juicy juice off my salt fingered self!

This is mouth watering, Deborah! I do love fresh tomatoes with onion or garlic, pepper and salt or a a fresh salad with olive oil and vinegar. Thank you for your comment. Keep writing...Gert

ah but the salt makes it a fivesome no? 2 breads, mayo, salt, and the star of the show. Hope it was an heirloom tomato, those things are so friggin' good. And I usually hate tomatoes...except when they're ketchup and covering a huge pile of FRESH french fries...:)

yes! it is that time! Deb...I just poached, skinned and froze 2- gallons of fresh tomatoes for "winter use"....hope to put up 10 -12 gl. 'fore I'm done! ....family likes my homemade 5-alarm chili and assorted Italian-Sauces!......oh.....finished my poem!

This is excelent, I remember stealing cherry tomatoes frm my mothers garden and how mad she'd get to find to find her prizes gone, and now that I;ve grown, I understand, then it was the just wonderful taste of the sun warmed juices running down my throat. Thank you also for your recent comments and wellness for my husband and his poem. He is amazed at the ourpouring of affection and comments on his poem. Thank you. ~Trudy~

Listen... I waited for those tomatoes all summer.. checking them daily... dreaming of doing exactly what your poem describes.. but the squirrels beat me to it... I never knew squirrels were interested in tomatoe's..your poem is so much fun...
