Missing
Lost in thought standing alone eyes lifted to the sky
A strange sensation, I feel as if someone is passing by
That instant a soothing presence seeming to draw near
Not something to be afraid of, there is no need for fear
As if someone's gently hand suddenly rests upon my shoulder
Wrapping arms around myself I suddenly feel slightly bolder
Waiting for a hint as to whom or what is standing near me
As if a light suddenly flickers in my mind suddenly I see
One I lost so very long ago I sense is ever so close
I get a whiff of her perfume, yes just a gentle dose
Words spoken from my heart oh how I miss you still
My trembling lips whisper and I always will
Suddenly I can speak to her as I did long ago
In my heart I know she feels how I love her so
Even crossed to the other side she is still with me
Her spirit I feel even when she is not here to see
