Maple-Eyed Stare

Each night, He would Run through the thick forest, Breaking branches, Ripping bark from the trees, With his bare hands and Biting the air, With his canine teeth and Howling at the pale moon, With his maple-eyed stare His body growing wide, With a full coat of Black wolf-hair and bending down Beneath the trees, on his hind legs, He became the dominant Alpha-male of the vicious wolf pack

a wolf stopped in the woods by the side of the road this summer while I was camping with my girls...looked right through us without blinking and rambled on ,when he felt like it! I wrote a poem about it!nice write! Greg!...jim
