Loss Fills the Plate Where Once, Tomorrow Reined

A great despair...
Heavy and burdensome..
Hangs like wet wool, covering the motionless night...
From a door...
Within the depths of self...
Realization springs forth...
Uncoiling, like a serpent in strike....
Time is the great equalizer of man...
It paints the picture of truth...
For we all march daily towards death and deliverance...
Loss fills the plate...
Where once,
Tomorrow reined.....TAH

Your imagery is beautiful, 'hangs like wet wool, covering the motionless night'. Not sure how I feel about your use of suspense markers. Seems a little excessive to me but your command of language is stunning.

We progress through dispair in order to grow. You say it with depth and understanding Tah, each line is to be considered with care. Luv, Lizzie

Ow geee.... Now i read this... and i'm scared i'm going to die :).. Just kidding... but when one reflects on this post seriously ,it really gets to you...Life is really short, isn't it?When one considers how short it is,how painful it can be,there is nothing better than to live day by day and make the best of what's left.. and im sure beyond the picture of truth.. We can find some fun and laughter too.... Profound thoughts Tah

A sad but accurate description of the progression of life. There is nothing we can do to halt the procession toward death and deliverence. We can but live good lives while are on earth and hope we have done enough. The last three lines gaveme tears, Tobey. I fear this may one day be the case. Love Carolyn
