Long Before--

Long Before-- It was long before the garden hoe, That the ancients walked the earth, Where together in groups they sauntered the land Just to find a morsel to eat. And these people who lived through wandering days. Learned to hunt and gather their food. Starting each day just after dawn, Roaming freely on God’s land. But the life that they lived, they lived to survive. Hunting for food, roaming free. Endlessly gathering berries and fruit. Thankful were they for life. © Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen February 18, 2010 Poetic form: Ballad (In Progress)

Something to remember even today as we tend to forget to be grateful for our blessings. So this is in progress. You'll have to update me when you have more. I like the title. Keep on writing! Thank you for your ongoing encouragement. You are a blessing!! Karen

Love this, Dane Ann!! The early people had a lifestyle I often envy -- simple and free of many of the problems we face today. Great work! Love, Carolyn
