I walked into the bedroom
And into the embrace
Of the scent that you left
Lingering….
I sat at the window
And all that I could feel
Was the warmth of your smile
Lingering….
I played back the words
That had danced out from your lips
Savoring each nuance of love
Lingering….
I looked up at the stars
And saw your twinkling eyes
Bathing me in a light
Lingering….
I cherish every moment
And cradle every dream
You bequeathed to me
Your memory
Your touch
Your essence
Your soul
Lingering….
