Like Fragile Leaves

Like fragile leaves are children’s souls. Sweet innocence can never last, and winds of spiteful words tear holes. Like fragile leaves are children’s souls. With joy they fall to grassy knolls, But met with hate, they wither fast. Like fragile leaves are children’s souls; Sweet innocence can never last. For the Triolet Contest of Giorgio Veneto

I agree with your point of view Andrea, a child's soul is so delicate, it needs to be nurtured kindly, your great at the triolet form, have never tried that form, perhaps I should try xxx

Like Adrian, we are innocent. That's why it hurts so much. When someone cast's dispursions with such a hurtful touch. These two poems have touched the soul Andrea. May the little children always feel the touch of the fairy. Peace. :)
