Lighthouse On Duty - Sentinel
In the midst of dark and numb night,
Wild titanic tides surge so high,
In shock stands the silent sentinel,
As soaring storm touches the sky.
Violent winds hammer the base,
And thunderstorm shakes the earth,
Rapidly roaring sea sounds scary,
And troubling typhoon takes birth.
Cold waves turn into devil in rage,
Terrible threats to seamen's safety,
While unstoppable is ferocious sea,
Lighthouse stands vigilant on duty.
It waits for cruel waves to calm down,
Dreadful is sea and brutal is night,
It begs mother Nature for some mercy,
Hopes for sailors and shore to unite.
--In each Quatrain line 2 and line 4 rhyme and are with same syllables.
