Life's Tender Way.
I could feel my heart beating faster than ever.
The tender touch of your hand.
The shivers you caused to run down my spine.
You grabbed me by the hand.
I could feel my nerves setting themselves high.
I could feel my hands shake, but you handled me with care.
You say I am a lovely velvet flower.
You want to care for me.
The bubblicious flavor I can now feel explodes my insides.
The salty taste of your lips makes me dizzy.
Heaven on Earth.
Pulling me closer.
Hands around my waist.
How I shiver, how I shake,
How much anxiety I have for more.
You see, my breath, it all went away.
I could feel like I was floating.
The tender taste of bubble gum, sugary, sweet joy.
My mind thinking of. . . nothing.
I am blank on the outside,
But on the insides I fly.
Just don't pull away.
Filled with a hundred stars.
One thousand wishes.
A trillion promises.
All of this we once shared.
It was our first kiss, seventh grade, last year.
